FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do the prices include materials, construction of shed and delivery?
A: Yes, and if there will be additional charges this will be agreed upon on the service order prior to construction of the shed.

Q: What do I need to do to prep the area where the shed will be built?
A: Nothing. Sonic Sheds will level the building (not the ground) up to 12” without charge. We provide all the cement patio blocks to do this. If there are large branches, rocks or anything else in the area, you may want to remove that before hand, Sonic Sheds does no excavating or removal of debris unless agreed upon prior and it is noted on service order.

Q: Should I put plastic or ground cover down first?
A: No. You need constant air flow under the shed to keep it dry. Nothing will grow underneath the shed. Plastic or ground cover will only keep moisture locked in and not allow air to flow.

Q: Can you move the placement of the door and other options such as windows?
A: Yes. Sonic Sheds builds right on site. You have up until the day of the build to decide or change plans as to where you want to place any options. Doors on a 7’ sidewall building can be placed on any of the 4 walls. On 6’ sidewall buildings the doors must be placed on either ends.

Q: How long does construction take?
A: On a 10 x 12 building and under, construction generally takes 1 day. However there are situations that hinder this, such as long carries to a backyard, teardowns or difficult to reach areas.

Q: How soon can I have my building built?
A: We are generally out 1 week on scheduling, however during the busy times of the year a 2 week wait is possible. Generally when the order is placed you are given a date on the calendar.

Q: Do I need to be home during construction?
A: No. We like you to be there upon arrival of the crew; however we understand certain situations don’t allow that. We will ask that you mark out the placement of the 4 corners and where you would like your doors, windows etc... This can be done on paper or with stick markers etc...

Q: Do I need power at the job site?
A: Yes. If there is no power Sonic Sheds can provide a generator. The charge for this is generally $75.00 for the day.

Q: Do I need a building permit?
A: California has a state wide ordinance of 120 Sq. Ft.
Oregon has a state wide ordinance of 200 Sq. Ft.
Washington state has different permit requirements. It is your responsibility to find out what                          requirements are needed.  If you need help with this please let one of our representatives know.
